Summer is just around the corner. You think about the beach and get all excited. You certainly can’t wait to hit the beach and strut your stuff. After you would hit the beach volley around with your friends, you would spread your blankie by the shore and lie under the heat of the sun. You would walk out of the beach all relaxed with a glorious tan. Snap – back to reality. Truth be told, your summer fantasy is just that – a fantasy. Unless you figure out a way to lose all your belly fat. Thinking about your summer fantasy sparks off the question a lot of women have been asking too: how do women get 6 pack abs?

Some would go as far as crash dieting, which is totally wrong. Some would try the expensive gadgets sold on television that claim to give you abs in a jiffy. Some would even try applying fat-burning gels on their bellies. People seem to look for the answer at all the wrong places, when the answer is actually really simple: exercising the right way. What is the right way to exercise? Read on, and get the flat stomach you’ve always wanted.

The key to get flat abs is to exercise all your abdominal muscles. You have to do different kinds of exercises that target all your ab muscles: horizontal ab muscles, vertical ab muscles, lower ab muscles, and waist. If you feel that you have a little extra energy, you can work on your lower back.

To get your horizontal abs working, get into position: lie on your back, bend your knees and raise your feet higher than your knees. Lift your butt and roll your back all the way to your shoulder blades. Next, roll back to your tailbone, and then up to your shoulder blades again. Do about 20 of this.

Next, you need to work on your vertical ab muscles. Sit on the floor. Bend your knees and have both feet flat on the floor. Roll your back a little until it reaches your lower back. Do this 15 times. Next, roll your back all the way to your shoulder blades. Do another 15 of this.

To work on your lower ab muscles, lie on the floor and extend your feet up in the air. Lift and lower your tailbone 20 times.

Working on the waist is easier – all you have to do are 20 cross crunches. For your lower back, you can lie on your stomach and do inverted crunches.

While exercising regularly is very well and good, exercising alone won’t give you the elusive flat abs that you want. How do women get 6 pack abs? Exercising regularly plus eating healthy. Nothing beats the right diet. So start getting those 6 pack abs – and flaunt them all through summer.
